Decoding The Truth

A Feud Between Biblical Archeologists Goes To Court, an article written by Nina Burleigh for Time in 2013 has peeked my interest in this age of an information deluge (maybe pun intended?).

I have felt some kind of a calling lately, we can call it a very strong urge if you like, to head down a road of research and information gathering on our history, spiritual matters, our future, what is happening in the present; as do many other people in these times.

I was experiencing an information overload and so decided to just “relax and watch tv”.  Even this is difficult for me to commit to, so I settled on documentaries, went on my Amazon Prime and found a show called Decoding the Ancients.  The man hosting the show is Simcha Jacobovici, an Israeli-Canadian film director, producer, freelance journalist, and writer.  Also, he is better known as The Naked Archeologist.  You can read more about him at the link above.  He has several degrees and a background in Religious Studies.

Where my own amateur research is taking me, one direction anyways, seems to be similar.  That when we focus in on or “buy into” any one ideology we are being fed as a whole, already all packaged up, we are missing a great deal of relevant information.

There are newer articles on this case, by the way, he won.  This is just the one, like I said, that peeked my interest.

If you are a fellow Rabbit Hole diver you may have already noticed similarities in old and modern stories, myths, traditions, beliefs.  The thinking that we are used to, angular, analytical, from here to there, linearly has also been referred to as left-brained thinking, male thinking, etc.

I am not going to cite resources, it is preferable for us to have our curiosities tickled and then seek the information on our own.  Start with any of the modern conspiracy theories like The New World Order and Satan Worship or The Tower of Babel (completely male brained group of people building a tower to God), alien mythology and how the story is that they have lost their emotions, empathy, ability to create art, to love, Lemurian myths and how the Martians came and they were completely left brained and began guiding us in that direction and we had a fall in consciousness (The Fall of Man), the Gnostic teachings of the Demiurge and the Archons.  Down and down we go.

Male and Female represented in Fibonacci Spiral.  You get to the same place but in different ways.  Keep going down the Rabbit Hole on this one.  It leads to the serpent, thus the curse of the woman and the serpent, how she will be subservient to the man, etc, etc.

In many old and new traditions there seems to be a theme that we have somehow lost, had taken away, are closed off from right brained thinking, female thinking, fluid thinking, the ability to look at several things at once and see truth.

Using this model, trying to use both ways of thinking is how I have settled in to my learning.  It has expanded my ability to understand the information I’m finding and that is being given to me immensely.  I retain it, I build on it.  I have a rule.  I don’t stay on any one ideology whole heartedly.  That is settling into left brained thinking.  I keep things fluid, not my life, not the way I live, just my information gathering and processing.

How does this relate.  What does it have to do with the price of tea in China?

My searching and the truths I am finding and the things I am experiencing, i.e. The Mandela Effect (I’m still confused on this as it has happened to me only recently and I am not ready to talk about it) have led me to accept Christianity and the Bible as containing many truths.  However, experience has shown me, if I stop there I will know only half-truths.

I like this take on exploring the Bible, he has done good research.  The article and he court case allow me to feel comfortable that he genuinely believes in what he does.

It is a good SOURCE of information, but again, I cannot let it be another TRUTH, but some of the truth.

Thanks for reading.  Keep chasing the White Rabbit.

Why the Singularity isn’t going to happen.

What Is The Singularity And Will You Live To See It

“If you read any science fiction or futurism, you’ve probably heard people using the term “singularity” to describe the world of tomorrow. But what exactly does it mean, and where does the idea come from? We answer in today’s backgrounder.

What is the singularity?

The term singularity describes the moment when a civilization changes so much that its rules and technologies are incomprehensible to previous generations. Think of it as a point-of-no-return in history.

Most thinkers believe the singularity will be jump-started by extremely rapid technological and scientific changes. These changes will be so fast, and so profound, that every aspect of our society will be transformed, from our bodies and families to our governments and economies.

A good way to understand the singularity is to imagine explaining the internet to somebody living in the year 1200. Your frames of reference would be so different that it would be almost impossible to convey how the internet works, let alone what it means to our society. You are on the other side of what seems like a singularity to our person from the Middle Ages. But from the perspective of a future singularity, we are the medieval ones. Advances in science and technology mean that singularities might happen over periods much shorter than 800 years. And nobody knows for sure what the hell they’ll bring.

Talking about the singularity is a paradox, because it is an attempt to imagine something that is by definition unimaginable to people in the present day. But that hasn’t stopped hundreds of science fiction writers and futurists from doing it.”
